About Hillycatz & Ozberry

 GCCF Registered

We are dairy farmers based on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border in between Skipton and Clitheroe just of the A59 in a small hamlet called Horton with just a few house's / farm's and a post box to its name.

We have been show/hobby breeding for about 9 years now after buying a British Blue girl and falling in love with the breed.

Our children love to play and cuddle the kittens from going to school/work to watching TV at night.

The kittens are reared as our own and we feel lost when they go.

Mark and I are at home all day, I work from home with our property business most of the time, so I can spend time with the cats and kittens.

Our whole life is centred around animals.  We have 180 cows, 15 chickens, 4 dogs and our wonderful cats. We winter sheep until Spring every year but don't keep our own since the foot and mouth.
The day starts with milking  at 4.30 a.m. until the last job at night when we fasten up the hens - a 15 hour day.

The cattery holds up to 18 cats but my 7 girls & 2 boys are enough!!!

All house's are insulated and have snuggers heated beds, the pens have lighting, radio, CCTV and are fully alarmed.

The pens are in a busy farm yard in front of the house with lots of people to watch & make a fuss of them.

When there are no kittens inside  we bring the girls inside on a rota basis.

Showing is a great hobby and a good day out

We only show at 3 or 4 shows a year. Occasionally we show at the Supreme, NEC, Birmingham.  With such early starts , long distance shows are not always possible.

For a list of cats shows visit the the links page for the GCCF site where all the shows are listed.
